Cody Rhodes Congratulates “Outstanding” AEW Star On Their Career

Cody Rhodes Congratulates

Cody Rhodes has publicly congratulated QT Marshall following the recent news.

AEW original Marshall recently announced that he would be departing the promotion very soon and would finish up his obligations by the end of the year. One of the unsung heroes of All Elite Wrestling, Marshall was much more than an onscreen talent. Behind the scenes, Marshall would wear many hats including producing and talent scouting. Many talents were also trained by Marshall at The Nightmare Factory in Atlanta, the wrestling school co-owned by Marshall and Rhodes.

Referencing the recent announcement, Rhodes himself took to social media to acknowledge the hard work that Marshall has put in to improve wrestlers in AEW and the promotion as a whole, while also remembering their rivalry in the early days of All Elite Wrestling:

Did the work – was essential in making so many memories for fans & has been so instrumental in helping countless wrestlers. A pros’ PRO. We almost became friends ha. I can’t wait to see what you do next! An OG and outstanding “num 2” through his tenure. Congratulations QT on the run so far.

Rhodes and Marshall feuded throughout 2021 when they were on opposite sides of The Nightmare Family and The Factory rivalry. Rhodes and Marshall faced off in singles competition on 3 separate occasions, with The American Nightmare being victorious in every match. Marshall would pick up a victory when he teamed with Anthony Ogogo to defeat Rhodes and Lee Johnson.

Following Marshall’s announcement, more information has come to light regarding his decision to exit the promotion. It is being reported that it has been known by many that Marshall was due to exit the company imminently as he was frustrated at the lack of in-ring time and wanted a more prominent spot.

Cody Rhodes Is Ready To Rumble

Now back in WWE for over 18 months, Rhodes has yet to finish the story and become World Champion despite the fact that he was victorious in the 2023 Royal Rumble and competed in the main event of WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. Looking to have a better result in 2024, Cody Rhodes has officially announced himself as the first entrant in the Royal Rumble match.
