John Cena Reveals Who Is The Greatest Wrestler Of His Era

John Cena has named one of his former opponents as his generation’s Shawn Michaels.

John Cena recently took a trip down memory lane and reflected on some of the most memorable matches of his career on WWE’s YouTube channel. During this nostalgic journey, Cena couldn’t help but praise his longtime rival, Randy Orton, referring to him as “my generation’s Shawn Michaels.”

Cena specifically highlighted their clash at the 2009 Bragging Rights event, where he emerged victorious and captured the WWE World Heavyweight Title from Orton. Speaking about Orton’s skills and abilities, Cena remarked:

Randy is my generation’s Shawn Michaels. He has an understanding of nuance and how important it is. He has the best timing of anybody. Like, he’s always there, he’s never late. He shows emotion as a performer. He’s incredible. He always makes difficult look simple, always.

When Is John Cena’s Next WWE Match?

John Cena is gearing up for a highly anticipated match at WWE Crown Jewel. On November 4th, he will face off against Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline at the event taking place at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Cena’s return to WWE comes after his involvement in the SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood, which led him back to the wrestling ring. Since his comeback, Cena has been embroiled in a heated feud with The Bloodline faction.

In contrast, Orton has been on the sidelines due to a serious back injury, keeping him away from in-ring action. His most recent match took place on the May 20th, 2022 episode of SmackDown, where he and Matt Riddle lost the WWE Tag Team Titles to The Usos. However, there have been reports suggesting that Randy Orton could make his return at Survivor Series on November 25th.

With the SAG-AFTRA strike reaching its end, how will this affect John Cena in WWE?
