Those Close To Cash Wheeler Didn’t Know About Arrest Until Today

Friends of Cash Wheeler were reportedly not aware of the aggravated assault charges against him until the news broke.

Nick Hausman of Haus Of Wrestling gave further perspective on Wheeler’s arrest, who according to a report from PWInsider Elite, turned himself into the police on August 18 following a road rage incident that occured on July 27. Hausman shared the following information The X:

“Those I’ve spoke to that are close to Cash Wheeler did not know about his aggravated assault with a firearm charge until today. Still working on finding out how much, if any, AEW knew before this morning.”

AEW did address the situation in small statement with “AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

Wheeler and his attorney have entered a not guilty plea to the courts, requesting a jury trial.

Details Behind Cash Wheeler’s Arrest

During the supposed road rage incident, Wheeler allegedly flashed a firearm to a driver whom he didn’t know and who had other passengers in the car. His bond is set for $2,500 and Wheeler must turn in any weapons he owns to the Orange County Sheriff’s office within the next 12 hours. He is also forbidden to have any contact with the opposing party (labeled as “victims”) or any witnesses to the incident.

As of this writing, no determination has been made by AEW regarding of the upcoming headline match between FTR and The Young Bucks at AEW All In.
