AEW All In has set a new European record.

As reported by WrestleTix, the monster event at Wembley Stadium has now sold 79,346 tickets, which takes it past SummerSlam 1992 which saw an attendance of 79,127. SummerSlam was also held at the famous venue, albeit before it was demolished and rebuilt. On that famous night, the card was headlined by the Intercontinental Title match between Bret Hart and the British Bulldog.

While this new landmark for All In represents a new European attendance record for a wrestling event, there has been some dispute over the real record. Writer Brian R. Soloman noted that although it’s never been 100% verified the match between Jim Londos vs. Kola Kwariani in Greece in 1933 also holds a claim. Some claim the attendance was around 80,000 and others suggest it could have been as high as 120,000.
