Hulk Hogan revealed his opinion on the “biggest and greatest Superstar this business has ever known,” and the name he mentioned was none other than Andre the Giant.

In an interview on WWE Network, Hulk Hogan sang praises for Andre the Giant, crediting him as the trailblazer who paved the way for wrestling superstars like himself, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock to achieve greatness. According to Hogan, Andre’s immense presence and larger-than-life persona were unparalleled, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

I never dreamed I’d be friends with him or ever get to meet him. But fast forward to him being the greatest of all time and as a person, what he went through because if I would walk behind him in the airport I would hear ‘Oh my gosh, you see that guy’ or a lot of very unkind things were said, you know, and he could hear them and for him to walk through and be as kind of a person as he was, and as gentle as a person.

Hogan acknowledged the impact Andre’s kindness had on their friendship and the wrestling community as a whole. Reflecting on Andre’s struggles with everyday tasks, such as fitting into aeroplane seats and using regular utensils.

If you could imagine a little Barbie doll house, every chair, you sat in every bed you tried to lay in for Andre to grab a normal fork, it was like a toothpick in his hand and for this man to have so much compassion and to never be comfortable. I mean I’d sit in first class behind him. And like, where the storage bins go up his head would be like this in the first class and that’s how he had to fly with his head cocked sideways. 14 hours to Kennedy to Narita in Japan, he can’t fit in the bathroom for 14 hours.

Hogan concluded by asserting that there will never be another Andre the Giant, emphasising the profound impact he had on the wrestling industry and the lasting impression he left on those fortunate enough to have known him.
