Social Media Erupts As Mercedes Mone Teases AEW All In Appearance

Mercedes Mone in NJPW & STARDOM

Former WWE Superstar Mercedes Mone has sent social media into overdrive after teasing an appearance at tonight’s record-setting AEW All In PPV.

On the evening of August 27th 2023 AEW will present it’s 2023 All In PPV live from Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom.

All In is set to host over 80,000 rampant fans making it the largest wrestling event (by paid attendance) in the history of the sport, dethroning WrestleMania 32 just four years into the company’s existence.

As fans begin to arrive in London, England, ahead of the event later today, former WWE Superstar Mercedes Mone (FKA Sasha Banks) has teased an appearance at tonight’s event.

Taking to social media Mone has shared uncaptioned photographs of herself in front of the iconic London Eye landmark, seemingly implying that she is in London ahead of tonight’s show.

Although Mone’s posts have sent social media into overdrive with many fans now convinced that the former Boss of WWE will be making an appearance at tonight’s historic event it is worth noting that Mone has a history of teasing fans via her social media in order to build hype around shows and to send social media into an excited frenzy.

There are no significant indicators of when the photographs were taken meaning that there is every possibility that Mone is currently sitting in the United States whilst social media argues over the legitimacy of the photographs and the possibility of The CEO appearing at tonight’s All In PPV.

Is Mercedes Mone Injured?

Although Mone has been linked with AEW appearances following her WWE departure earlier this year, she has currently only competed under the banner of NJPW & STARDOM with her last match coming at NJPW Strong’s Resurgence event on the 21st of May earlier this year.

During the match, for the vacant NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, Mone would suffer an injury forcing the result of the match to be changed on the fly and leading to AEW’s own Willow Nightingale becoming the inaugural champion.

Prior to her injury Mercedes Mone had held “significant discussions” with AEW about an appearance at the 2023 Forbidden Door PPV event in conjunction with NJPW.
