Bad Bunny Is Out Of Upcoming Marvel Project

Bad Bunny WWE

Bad Bunny is no longer involved with El Muerto.

The new movie by Marvel was set to have a Januarey 2024 release date, but filming hasn’t even started for the prospective project and Marvel pulled it from its release calendar. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Bad Bunny was asked about his current standing with the film following that news.

The pop star appeared crestfallen about it, prompting his publicist to move the interview along. Bad Bunny remarked that he didn’t know what to say and called the situation delicate, as his publicist added that “Obviously, it’s out.”

Reasons Why Bad Bunny Is No Longer In “El Muerto’

A few factors came into play as to why El Muerto was pulled from the calendar with the primary factor being the ongoing writer’s strike. Another issue was Bad Bunny’s ever-growing touring schedule which could be a speculated reason for his exit. The synopsis for the film, which is below, was right up Bad Bunny’s alley considering his pro wrestling fandom.

El Muerto, aka Juan-Carlos Sánchez, was a super-powered wrestler who initially fought Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match where he nearly unmasked Spider-Man before being accidentally stung by the frightened web-crawler with a paralyzing poison. After being saved from the hospital by Spider-Man, Sanchez’s oppressor, El Dorado, came to claim his life. Knowing his life was in danger, Spider-Man and Sánchez joined forces to defeat Dorado

If the film were to continue to go on without a hitch Bunny would have been joined by fellow in-ring worker Mercedes Mone, who was listed to play an undisclosed role in the film.
