Bad Bunny Joins The LWO On WWE SmackDown

Bad Bunny & The LWO

Bad Bunny is officially the newest member of the Latino World Order.

Although the star has been affiliated with the group for a number of weeks, his membership was made official as SmackDown came to a raucous conclusion.

In the main event of the show, Dominik Mysterio teamed with Rhea Ripley to take on Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega. The match had been set up earlier in the night, and Vega is due to challenge Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Title at Backlash.

In the end, it was Rey who scored the win in front of a white-hot crowd, but within seconds he was attacked by Judgment Day, including Damian Priest who ran to ringside. However, the beatdown wouldn’t last for long.

Bad Bunny arrived Kendo stick in hand, flanked by the LWO to the kind of ovation usually reserved for the likes of Steve Austin and The Rock.

As the LWO cleared the ring, the music star stared down Priest but was unable to get his hands on him, settling for hitting Dominik instead. With Judgment Day retreating, the LWO posed in the ring with their newest member decked out in the group’s t-shirt.

Bad Bunny & Damian Priest Brawl At Backlash Press Conference

Before SmackDown went on the air, WWE held a press conference to hype Backlash and the company’s return to Puerto Rico. During the media session, Cody Rhodes was afforded his usual monster reaction, and Triple H broke down how the new World Heavyweight Champion will be decided.

However, it was during the segment featuring Bad Bunny and Damian Priest that sparks really began to fly. In an exchange that set the tone for what was to follow on SmackDown, Priest shoved the Hip Hop star to the floor, before Bad Bunny responded by slapping him in the face.

The pair will go one-on-one at Backlash in a San Juan Street Fight.
