Mercedes Mone Drops Latest Hint At In-Ring Return: “I Can’t Wait To Be Back”

Mercedes Mone Drops Latest Hint At In-Ring Return:

Mercedes Mone looks to be back in action imminently.

Mone has been out of action since May 2023 after suffering an ankle injury competing for New Japan. Mercedes Mone has wrestled for NJPW ever since the shock debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17 back in January. However, there are no guarantees that The CEO will be exclusively wrestling for New Japan when she is cleared to compete.

Posting a video on Cameo, Mone stated that she is aiming for a return in 2024, but kept her intentions under wraps, simply stating that she would be appearing for “some wrestling company”:

“I cannot wait to be back into a ring. Expect me to return with some wrestling company in 2024. For sure, I cannot wait to be back in that squared circle. That’s where I feel the most at home. It’s where I feel alive and I just can’t wait to be back. I’ve been healing everything: mentally, physically, spiritually, everything. I’m really excited to get back to what I love and what I do best,”

Where Could Mercedes Mone Debut?

Hinting that she is not currently contracted to NJPW, Mone could be set to make another shock appearance in the near future. Many are speculating that the former IWGP Women’s Champion may debut in AEW once fully cleared as Mercedes Mone was previously spotted in the crowd at All In. However, with close friend Trinity in Impact, this may also be as much of a possibility as AEW or New Japan.

The former Sasha Banks departed WWE alongside Naiomi [Trinity] back in May 2022. With the company landscape having changed substantially since the shock departure, there is every possibility that it might be Boss Time once more.
