Mercedes Mone Appears At All In, Holds Talks With AEW

Mercedes Mone in NJPW & STARDOM

Mercedes Mone could be on the verge of a move to AEW.

During the Zero-Hour pre-show ahead of AEW All In, Mercedes Mone was shown in the crowd to a loud roar from the Wembley crowd. The promotion also made sure to point out that the star was there on social media.

Interestingly, it seems that Mone isn’t just paying a visit to catch the show.

It’s been reported by Fightful Select that Mone has held talks with AEW, and is “open” to appearing with the promotion. One source said there was heavy optimism that the two sides could work together. Another spoke as if a deal “was in the works.”

Mercedes Mone Injured

Mercedes Mone hasn’t wrestled since suffering an injury in a match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May.

It was reported that Mone suffered a broken ankle, and underwent surgery to repair the break. However, there has been little to no comment from New Japan Pro-Wrestling or the former Sasha Banks.

Tony Khan has previously spoken positively about bringing in the star, admitting he’d spoken to Mercedes Mone ahead of Forbidden Door in June. Still yet to make an AEW debut, Mercedes Mone has hinted at her next appearance.

While the star might be heading to All Elite Wrestling, Bayley has repeatedly called on her friend to return to WWE.
