John Cena Wrestles After SmackDown Goes Off The Air

John Cena on WWE SmackDown

John Cena was in action following WWE SmackDown.

On September 15th, John Cena was back on SmackDown and in the main event spot as a guest on the Grayson Waller Effect.

Waller wasted little time in putting the boot in on the 16-time World Champion, commenting that he doesn’t want to wrestle anymore, highlighted Cena’s defeat to Austin Theory at WrestleMania, and said he’d been lying to people.

Before Cena could properly hit back, the pair were interrupted by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy said no one wanted Cena there, but before things could escalate further, they were joined by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman.

As Cena stared down Sikoa, it briefly looked like the enforcer would go after Jimmy, but instead, they teamed up to attack the veteran. With Cena taking a beating, AJ Styles ran in to make the save as the show went off the air.

After the show, Cena and Styles teamed up to defeat Sikoa and Jimmy in a little over ten minutes.

This was the first time Cena had wrestled on US soil since WrestleMania 39, with his last match coming at Superstar Spectacle in India.
