John Cena Comments On WWE & UFC Merger

John Cena WrestleMania

John Cena has congratulated those involved in Endeavor’s takeover of WWE.

On September 12th, the takeover of WWE by Endeavor was finally confirmed with the launch of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. The new company is the result of the merger of WWE and UFC.

Posting on social media, Cena described the deal as a “historic moment” in the history of “sports entertainment.”

“Another historic moment in the evolution of the sports-entertainment industry. Congratulations to everyone involved in today’s massive announcement.”

John Cena was also featured in the first video package for the new company alongside the likes of Conor McGregor, Becky Lynch, and Logan Paul.

John Cena Heading Back To SmackDown

The 16-time World Champion is set to appear on the September 15th episode of SmackDown after missing the most recent episode due to wrestling at Superstar Spectacle. At the show which marked WWE’s return to India, Cena teamed with Seth Rollins to defeat Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser.

It’s now been confirmed that Cena will be heading back to the blue brand to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect. Some have wondered whether this could be to set up a match between the pair given their confrontation at Money In The Bank.

At the event in London, Waller interrupted Cena as he called on WWE to bring WrestleMania to the United Kingdom. Despite going toe-to-toe with Cena on the microphone, the Aussie star ended the segment looking at the lights after being hit with an AA.
