AJ Styles WWE Return Update

AJ Styles WWE Return Update

AJ Styles is expected to be back on WWE TV in a couple of weeks.

As reported by PWInsider, Styles is pencilled in to make his return to SmackDown on the November 10th episode, which will be the fallout show from Crown Jewel. This will also be the next episode of SmackDown to be broadcast live as the November 3rd episode has been pre-taped to allow the roster to travel to Saudi Arabia for the upcoming PLE. It is also stated that the former World Champion is expected to be featured regularly following the return.

Styles was last seen on the September 22nd edition of SmackDown, aligning himself with former rival John Cena to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane. However, Styles was taken out later in the show by The Bloodline and has not been seen since and was replaced by LA Knight as Cena’s partner for Fastlane.

Will AJ Styles Be World Champion Again?

The Phenomenal One has reigned with the top title on two occasions, first defeating Dean Ambrose [Jon Moxley] in 2016 and bringing the infamous Jinder Mahal reign to an end one year later. Currently on SmackDown and yet to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship, there is every possibility that Styles could be in position for a future title shot. In a recent interview, AJ Styles reflected on the possibility of returning to the world title picture.

Styles last challenged for a top championship at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, losing to Seth Rollins in the tournament final to crown the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion.
