Former WWE Champion To Return On SmackDown [SPOILER]

Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles fight at WWE Survior Series 2017

A former WWE Champion is set to return to SmackDown for the first time since September.

On the September 22nd edition of SmackDown, AJ Styles aligned himself with former rival John Cena and declared that they would face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa together at Fastlane. However, Styles was taken out later in the show by The Bloodline and has not been seen since. He was replaced by LA Knight as Cena’s partner for Fastlane.

In November, it was reported that Styles was expected to make his return to WWE on the November 10th episode of SmackDown, but the show came and went without an appearance from the phenomenal one in Columbus, OH. Delaying his return was said to be down to a “creative decision.”

While one report indicated Styles could be returning on December 8th, another report said that he would not be appearing, and the star has yet to be seen.

AJ Styles To Return To WWE Television On December 15th

At long last, it seems that Styles will be returning to the blue brand on December 15th. A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider indicates that AJ Styles will be making his return in Green Bay, WI and that he is officially back on the road with the company. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson also recently returned to the road with WWE but have yet to be seen on television.

The report also makes sure to note that two episode of SmackDown are being taped on December 15th to account for the holiday season, and it is unclear which episode will feature Styles’ big return as the December 22nd episode will also be taped in Green Bay.
