A new report has lifted the lid on the value of AJ Styles’ new WWE contract.

Back in early January it was reported that AJ Styles had put pen to paper on a new WWE contract, believed to be for at least three years. The report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, noted that Styles had the opportunity to go elsewhere, but chose to remain with WWE.

A new report from Fightful Select has now appeared to confirm that Styles has signed a new deal and offered an insight into some of the finer details of the agreement.

The report claims that the contract is a multi-year deal and will see Styles earn $3 million per year. The former WWE Champion also has some additional bus travel accommodations paid for. A source within WWE said that Styles was “worth every penny” and “would easily make that back for the company.”

After starring for NWA Wildside, Styles had a brief dalliance with WCW before receiving a try-out with WWE. While the try-out came to nothing, Styles went on to sign with two fledgling promotions in 2002 in the form of Ring Of Honor and TNA, which would later become IMPACT.

Across his near 12-year stint with TNA and IMPACT Wrestling, AJ Styles became one of the most highly rated and most sought after wrestlers in the world.

After leaving IMPACT at the tail end of 2013, AJ Styles returned to ROH while also heading to New Japan. Styles enjoyed great success during this period as a member of The Bullet Club before signing with WWE in 2016.

During his time with WWE, Styles has won the WWE Championship twice, alongside multiple other championship wins. Most recently capturing the Raw Tag Team Titles alongside the giant Omos.
