AEW Dynamite Results – October 10, 2023

AEW Dynamite

It was the AEW Dynamite “Title Tuesday” with Adam Copeland’s AEW in-ring debut, plus two title matches.

This was a rare Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite due to TBS airing the MLB Playoffs on Wednesday night. This episode took place at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence (Kansas City), Missouri. The announcers were Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz.

Christian Cage, the TNT Champion, did a promo from a production truck. Christian took credit for the first 30 minutes being commercial-free.

Match #1:Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland. Danielson hit the running knee for the pinfall win.

The win by Danielson means he’ll challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Title on Collision this Saturday night.

Samoa Joe was featured in a video package talking about his quest to become the AEW World Champion.

Match #2: Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Chris Jericho. A dominant win by Hobbs controlling the whole match. Hobbs won with a World’s Strongest Slam.

A silly Roderick Strong-Adam Cole video aired showing that Cole cut Strong’s grass even though Cole has a broken ankle that needs surgery. Cole left to go have ankle surgery.

Jon Moxley was originally scheduled to face Rey Fenix, but Moxley was not cleared to compete.

Match #3: Orange Cassidy defeated Rey Fenix to win the International Championship. Orange won in under five minutes by doing the Mouse Trap pinfall.

A Toni Storm video aired.

Match #4: Wardlow defeated Matt Sydal. Wardlow hit four Powerbombs and it ended by referee stoppage.

Match #5: Jay White defeated “Hangman” Adam Page with a rollup while grabbing the tights. There were distractions at ringside and Jay found a way to win.

Post match, MJF wanted his AEW World Title back from White, who stole it last week. White told MJF they could have an eight-man tag team match and if MJF wins, he might get his title back. Juice Robinson bragged to MJF about how he’s going to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Match #6: Hikaru Shida beat Saraya to win the AEW Women’s Title. Shida won after they each went for rollups and Shida held Saraya down for the three count.

They said Chris Jericho was taken to the hospital to sell his beating at the hands of Powerhouse Hobbs earlier in the night.

Christian Cage did a promo before the Adam Copeland-Luchasaurus match where he took shots at his best friend Copeland.

Match #7: Adam Copeland defeated Luchasaurus by pinfall with a Spear. Christian accidentally hit Lucahsaurus with the TNT Title and Copeland hit the Spear for the win.

There was a brawl to end the show with with Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne beating up Copeland. The Blackpool Combat Club ran out to save Copeland. The Gates of Agony & Swerve Strickland showed up to join the fight while Hangman Page was there to fight with Swerve too. Danielson had Christian trapped in the LeBell Lock while Copeland hit Wayne with a Spear. That’s how the show ended.

Next week on AEW Dynamite

It was announced that there will be a Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale next week. The winner of that will earn the right to challenge MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

There will be more matches announced for next week’s Dynamite will be announced on this Friday’s episode of Rampage and Saturday’s episode of Collision.
