It was AEW Dynamite featuring MJF defending the AEW World Title against Daniel Garcia, Jay White taking on Mark Briscoe and Samoa Joe defending the ROH TV Title.

This episode took place at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The announcers were Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz.

The AEW World Champion MJF was interviewed before his match. He called Adam Cole, who suggested that maybe MJF should team with Samoa Joe to defend the ROH Tag Team Titles at Full Gear. MJF didn’t want to do that.

Match #1:Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) defeated Daniel Garcia to retain the AEW World Championship. MJF worked over Garcia’s left arm throughout the match. Garcia nearly won with a piledriver. MJF countered the Dragontamer submission and applied the Salt of the Earth armbar for the tapout win.

After the match, MJF wanted a handshake and Garcia wanted to do it, but Matt Menard & Angelo Parker stopped Garcia from doing it.

Match #2: Sting & Darby Allin defeated The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) by submission with Sting using a Scorpion Deathlock submission. It was under three minutes.

There was a sitdown contract signing with AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm for a title match at Full Gear. It was in black & white with Tony Schiavone interviewing the women as they signed.

Match #3: Swerve Strickland defeated Penta El Zero Miedo by pinfall. It was an even matchup with both guys getting nearfalls. Swerve wrenched back hard on Penta’s right arm and Swerve hit the Swerve Stomp off the top for the pinfall win.

After the match, “Hangman” Adam Page attacked Swerve with multiple chair shots to the back. Page gave Swerve the Deadeye off the ramp and through a table on the floor. Page was shouting “you’re a deadman” at Swerve as referees made Page back away.

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega aka The Golden Jets were interviewed backstage. The Young Bucks interrupted with Matt Jackson jealous of how Omega was hanging out with Jericho more than them. They exchanged words with a challenge for a match at Full Gear: The Young Bucks against Jericho & Omega. The deal was that if The Young Bucks lose then Jericho & Omega get their title shot. The Young Bucks said fine, but if they win then Omega can’t team with Jericho again. That match was made official.

Match #4:Samoa Joe defeated Keith Lee to retain the ROH TV Title by referee stoppage. Joe trapped Lee in the Coquina Clutch and Lee passed out.

After the match, Samoa Joe relinquished the ROH TV Title after a record-setting 574-day title reign. Joe said he was not just there to merely be your television champion. Joe said “the next gold that is going to be on my shoulder will be the AEW World Championship, whether you like it or not, Max.” A warning for MJF.

Match #5: The Gunns defeated The Bollywood Boyz by pinfall. The Gunns won with their 310 To Yuma double team move. The Gunns did a post match promo saying they’d win the ROH Tag Team Titles from MJF at Full Gear.

Wardlow was featured in a video package talking about how his potential was wasted for three years in AEW because of MJF. Wardlow made it clear he was going after MJF. Wardlow said that the days of The Devil running AEW are coming to an end.

Match #6: Julia Hart defeated Red Velvet by pinfall. Hart won with a moonsault off the top rope.

After the match, Julia Hart applied her Hartless submission move. Sky Blue went into the ring with face paint and Blue stared at Hart. Willow Nightingale and TBS Champion Kris Statlander walked down to the ring. Kris stared at Hart, who backed out of the ring. Kris stared at Blue as well.

Mariah May walked onto the screen with RJ City announcing her as the newest AEW signing. May talked about how she just came from Stardom in Japan and now she’s excited to be in the AEW women’s division. May mentioned being a big fan of Toni Storm.

Match #7:Jay White defeated Mark Briscoe by pinfall. White won with the Bladerunner.

After the match, MJF’s music hit and MJF appeared from behind Bullet Club Gold in the ring. MJF punched both Gunns and Robinson leading to those three guys bumping to the floor. MJF went after White, who bailed to the floor with the AEW World Title. MJF did a promo about how Jay White will have to kill MJF to beat him.

The lights went out. They went backstage where The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn were getting attacked by masked assailants. Anthony Bowens was tossed through some glass window. The camera faded out and somebody was shown in The Devil mask.

MJF ran to the backstage area. MJF checked on The Acclaimed and Gunn laying on the floor. Samoa Joe walked in saying that it looked like MJF is running out of friends. Joe laughed about it and walked away. MJF looked around at the carnage. That was the end of the show.
