Mariah May Signs With AEW

Mariah May signs with AEW

Mariah May has been announced as AEW’s newest signing.

As seen in a backstage segment on the November 8th episode of Dynamite, RJ City confirmed that the rumours are true and introduced May to the AEW audience.

When asked about her intentions and goals, May stated how she had previously wrestled in Stardom and was really excited to meet Toni Storm, revealing Storm as the reason why she became All Elite. When RJ City said that he could introduce May to Storm in the future, May was delighted by the news.

Tony Khan would later confirm the news on social media, posting the traditional All Elite graphic to accompany the announcement:

Who Is Mariah May?

The British wrestler made her in-ring debut in 2019 for the promotion Hustle Wrestling. Competing all around the UK with multiple appearances for Rev Pro, May would have her first match in Stardom in January 2023, entering the Triangle Derby. Teaming with Mina Shirakawa, the duo known as Rose Gold would win the Goddess of Stardom Championship at the Stardom Sunshine event in June before dropping the titles to REStart in August. This was May’s only championship reign while signed to the promotion.

May’s final match in Stardom saw her lose to Hanan in the final round of Block A of the 2023 5STAR Grand Prix. Recognised for her achivements over the past year, May was ranked 95th in the PWI Women’s 250 in 2023.
