Britt Baker Frustrated With AEW Booking

Britt Baker vents her frustrations at AEW publicly.

While the promotion has faced a number of issues in 2023, one of the biggest complaints of the promotion has been ongoing since day one; the lack of time dedicated for women wrestlers.

Dynamite still only sees one women’s match each broadcast despite the show being on the air for over 4 years and Tony Khan being repeatedly asked to dedicate more time to the division at press conferences and media interviews. Baker has now taken matters into her own hands.

As seen on social media, the former Women’s Champion noted the times of the two longest promo segments on the November 29th episode of Dynamite. Baker would then point out the alarming statistic that in the past 11 months, she has not received any live promo time on the flagship show:

Tonight’s #AEWDynamite:
MJF live promo time: 7 mins
Christian Cage live promo time: 10 mins
All of 2023 #AEWDynamite: Britt Baker live promo time: 0 mins

Baker has competed in 19 televised matches in 2023, with one being on pay-per-view at All In. The former Women’s Champion last competed on Collision back in September, unsuccessfully challenging Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship. There has been no explanation as to why Baker has been utilised less in the ring and on the mic in the past year.

Baker became one of the most popular performers for the promotion during the pandemic era, praised for her performances in the unsanctioned match and steel cage match during her rivalry with Thunder Rosa.

Britt Baker To Spend Less Time On Other Career

As is known to many fans, Baker is not only a wrestler but also a practising dentist. However, with All Elite Wrestling expanding their weekly programming and the former Women’s Champion struggling to balance both careers simultaneously, Britt Baker revealed in a recent interview that she would be taking a step away from dentistry to focus on her in-ring career.

Baker is not alone with her feelings on creative as Matt Hardy has also expressed AEW frustrations.

In recent AEW news, a long-time Vice President has been let go by the company.
