Tony Khan Introduces New ROH Championship

Tony Khan at ROH press conference

Tony Khan has announced the creation of a new Ring Of Honor Title.

At Final Battle, Athena once again retained her Women’s World Championship by seeing off a challenge from Billie Starkz. The win marked the end of a dominant year for the champion, who first won the title at Final Battle in 2022. The past year is widely seen to have revitalised the women’s division in Ring Of Honor, with multiple storylines and high-caliber matches creating a buzz around the promotion.

Tony Khan has seemingly taken notice of the division and has decided to give it a bigger spotlight with a new championship. At the Ring Of Honor TV tapings following the Collision on December 16th, Khan appeared in front of the crowd to introduce the ROH Women’s TV Championship.

For now, only the title itself has been announced, with details on how the inaugural champion will be crowned still being kept under wraps.

Tony Khan Claims AEW Is Under Constant Attack

Tony Khan has recently hit out at criticism of AEW, claiming that the promotion us always under attack, particularly by fans on social media. The AEW President pointed out that it didn’t seem to matter how many good shows the company puts on, there will always be someone there to talk about the negatives.

However, Khan says that he has reached a point where he doesn’t worry about it, and instead will concentrate on putting on great shows.

We beat every single show on TV on Wednesday out of hundreds and hundreds of shows across hundreds of networks. And if we continue doing it, everybody here’s going to be in a good position.
