SmackDown Star Sidelined With Shoulder Injury

WWE SmackDown

A SmackDown star is set to be out of action with a shoulder injury just weeks after an unsuccessful championship match!

Despite only being called up to the main roster in May, Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly have already made their mark on the SmackDown tag team division. In just two months, the duo have already defeated former tag champions The Street Profits and challenged for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

But now, their momentum could be coming to a grinding halt due to an unfortunate injury. According to a new PWInsider report, Elton Prince has sustained a separated shoulder after being seen supporting his arm in a sling.

It is currently unknown how long he will be out of action for. The injury seemingly occurred on the July 14th edition of SmackDown when Elton and Kit competed against, and defeated, Sheamus and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes.

The injury comes just two weeks after Pretty Deadly challenged Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship on the SmackDown before Money In The Bank. Despite the home-field advantage, Prince and Kit suffered their first losses on the main roster to the champions after Zayn delivered a Helluva Kick to Kit.

Dutch Mantell Has Been Unimpressed With Pretty Deadly

Despite the former NXT Tag Team Champions’ success on the main roster so far, not everyone has been impressed by the British duo – including WWE veteran Dutch Mantell.

Mantell remains unconvinced, going as far as to claim that they don’t look like wrestlers and could even be “unemployed before long.”
