It was Monday Night Raw featuring Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso defending the WWE Tag Team Titles in the main event, plus Seth Rollins finds out his next challenger.

This week’s Raw took place at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska with Michael Cole and Wade Barrett on commentary. It was the last Raw before WWE Fastlane this Saturday, October 7th.

Raw started with a Seth Rollins promo about his win over Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane. Drew McIntyre interrupted to challenge Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title. Drew said he would do it to his face and not do a cheap attack. Rollins accepted. The match is on for Crown Jewel on November 4th. After Drew left the ring, Damian Priest attacked Rollins from behind. Dominik Mysterio ran out with the MITB briefcase for Priest, but Drew dropped him with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Rollins sent Priest out of the ring.

Match #1: Ivar defeated Kingston in a Viking Rules Match. Ivar won with a moonsault off the top rope.

Ricochet attacked Shinsuke Nakamura backstage during an interview.

Match #2: Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax had a match that ended in a disqulification when Rhea Ripley went after Raquel. Ripley fought with Jax as well. Shayna Baszler also joined the fight, so she hit Ripley with a German Suplex and a running knee. Baszler stood tall to end it.

There was a backstage scene with Drew McIntyre saying he doesn’t get involved in his business, but Damian Priest trying to cash in Money in the Bank is his business. Seth said that The Bloodline can’t take this title and Drew can’t take it either.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso were interviewed by Michael Cole about being the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. They were interrupted by Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens. That led to the champions being challenged by Zayn & Owens, so that match was made official for later in the show.

Ricochet made his entrance for a match, but he was attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura hit him with a GTS (Go To Sleep) knee to the face. That’s an obvious CM Punk reference that should get people talking.

Match #3: Bronson Reed defeated Ricochet and Chad Gable in a triple threat match. Reed pinned Ricochet with a Tsunami splash.

The match was a #1 contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title, so Reed challenges GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Title next week on Raw.

Xia Li walked up to Becky Lynch backstage wondering when she would get an NXT Women’s Title shot. Lynch said she wasn’t hard to find.

Match #4: Drew McIntyre defeated JD McDonagh by pinfall in about four minutes. Drew won clean with a Claymore Kick.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa were interviewed by Wade Barrett earlier in the day. They talked about potentially being a team again when Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci attacked Gargano & Ciampa. That’s how it ended.

Ricochet was looking for Shinsuke Nakamura backstage. WWE Official Adam Pearce said that Nakamura was ejected. Next week on Raw is Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Match #5:Becky Lynch defeated Tegan Nox by submission to retain the NXT Women’s Title. Lynch applied the Dis-arm-her and Nox tapped out. It went around 15 minutes. This was Lynch’s first match since NXT No Mercy when she suffered an arm laceration that needed stitches.

Match #6: Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso defeated Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. A long match that went over 15 minutes. Lots of great action. Cody and Jey won after hitting a Cody Cutter/1D combo on Owens and Jey covered Owens for the win.

After the match, all four guys shook hands and hugged. Owens was hesitant to do it to Jey, but he eventually did it.
