“I Think The World Of Him” – Shawn Michaels Proud Of Trick Williams

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has expressed his admiration for NXT Superstar Trick Williams.

Originally, Dominik Mysterio was set to face Mustafa Ali at NXT No Mercy, but with Ali’s sudden release from his WWE contract, plans had to be changed. To determine a new number-one contender for Mysterio’s North American Championship, a Triple Threat match was scheduled between Dragon Lee, Tyler Bate, and Axiom.

However, after his victory over Joe Gacy, Trick Williams requested to be added to the match, wanting to pursue gold outside of his partnership with Carmelo Hayes. Speaking on a media call, Michaels praised Williams for his exceptional work ethic and dedication to improving his in-ring skills.

Michaels described Williams as the epitome of what WWE looks for in a wrestler, highlighting his commitment, focus, and willingness to take feedback and make adjustments. Williams, a former college athlete, has impressed Michaels with his drive to prove himself as a singles act in NXT. Michaels emphasised that no one works harder than Trick Williams and commended him for his continuous growth and progression in the industry.

He’s the epitome of what you want here. He comes in as a former college athlete, focused, and does well in his role of being a sidekick of Carmelo Hayes. But you won’t find a guy who works harder than Trick.

Michaels expressed his admiration for Williams, stating that he is one of the top two or three hardest workers in NXT. Williams’ opportunity at No Mercy represents his first big spotlight moment, and Michaels is excited to see him shine and hopes he delivers an outstanding performance.

He is easily, honest, he’s easily one of the top two or three hardest workers in this place right now. He is a grinder. He’s doing everything he can.

And you know, he’s just, he’s self-accountable. You know what I mean? And I don’t know, I just admire him, I think the world of him. And he’s doing fantastic.

That’s why he’s getting this opportunity this weekend is, you know, this is Trick’s first time in the big spotlight. And, you know, I’m thrilled for him, I’m excited for him. I hope he knocks it out of the park.

In recent news, Trick Williams has denied imitating a WWE Hall of Famer.
