It was WWE SmackDown with IYO Sky defending the Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair, John Cena was there yet again, and a whole lot more.

This week’s SmackDown took place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas with Michael Cole, Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick on commentary.

There was a Paul Heyman-LA Knight promo exchange. Knight wanted Roman Reigns to get out there, but Reigns wasn’t there. Knight claimed that Reigns was scared. Knight said he’s not stopping until he takes that title from Roman Reigns.

Match #1: Montez Ford defeated Santos Escobar. There was chaos at ringside at ringside involving Angelo Dawkins and Joaquin Wilde/Cruz Del Toro leading to Ford getting the rollup win.

After the match, The Street Profits did a cheap attack, so Carlito ran out for the save and the heels retreated.

Pretty Deadly were having a spa day thinking they were done with The Brawling Brutes, but then The Brawling Brutes showed up and beat them up.

John Cena did a promo in the ring and he got a huge ovation as usual. Cena said it was 2002 days since he won a televised match, which was back in 2018. Cena wanted a match right now.

It looked like John Cena was going to have a match with Solo Sikoa, but Jimmy Uso was there to join Solo to attack Cena. Jey Uso from Raw came out from the crowd and attacked Jimmy Uso. That was broken up by officials and security. Cena managed to come back on Solo and Cena hit him with an Attitude Adjustment.

In a backstage scene, Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis fined Jey Uso $10,000. Raw GM Adam Pearce was there too, so Aldis told security to escort Jey & Pearce from the building. Pearce: “Let the games begin.”

Logan Paul and US Champion Rey Mysterio did an in-ring promo exchanging words. They agreed to a US Title match at Crown Jewel.

Match #2: Austin Theory & Grayson Waller defeated Cameron Grimes & Dragon Lee by pinfall. Theory won for his team with the A-Town Down on Grimes.

Kevin Owens was interviewed by Cathy Kelley in the seats before the show. Owens was upset about being separated from Sami Zayn, but being on Smackdown again is bittersweet for him. Owens mentioned his history with The Bloodline and he was wearing a Yokozuna shirt. Owens mentioned guys he hasn’t faced like Rey Mysterio or Sheamus who he wants to face. Owens said he just wants people to know it’s the Kevin Owens Show and that was it.

Match #3: IYO SKY defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women’s Title. Flair had it nearly won a few times, but Damage CTRL’s Bayley & Dakota Kai got involved. After Flair took out Bayley, Dakota Kai distracted the referee and Flair did a Spear on Sky, who was holding the title, so Flair hit the title and sold it like she was out. Sky covered to win.

After the match, Damage CTRL attacked Flair, which led to Bianca Belair making her return. Belair beat up Sky and Bayley. Belair wanted KOD on Sky, Bayley made the save, so Belair hit KOD on Bayley. Belair stood tall with Flair in the ring. That was the end of the show.
