Bronson Reed (JONAH) Returns To WWE On Raw

Bronson Reed JONAH

For months, rumors have been flying that Bronson Reed was likely to return to WWE. Despite his popularity and his getting a main roster tryout, the former NXT North American Champion was released from the company in August of 2021. He went on to appear under the name JONAH in promotions such as New Japan and IMPACT Wrestling.

Back in October, it was reported that Bronson Reed had an offer to return to WWE, and that he would have to choose between taking the sports entertainment giant up on their offer or choosing to continue working with New Japan. Now, questions about his future have been answered as he made his WWE return on the December 19th episode of WWE Raw.

Bronson Reed Helped The Miz Defeat Dexter Lumis

The latest edition of WWE Raw in Des Moines, IA saw Dexter Lumis and The Miz face off in a Winner Take All Ladder Match. Animosity between the two men has been brewing for months, and when Lumis defeated Miz to earn himself a WWE contract, he also forced Miz to pay him money that he was owed after Johnny Gargano revealed an arrangement between the two.

This left The Miz without much cash to his name, and after multiple attempts to steal the money back from Lumis, it was determined that the two would hang a huge sum of money above the ring and take part in a ladder match to determine who got to take the huge prize home. Johnny Gargano was at ringside for the bout.

The match spanned multiple segments on WWE Raw, and both men seemed to have the money in their grasp at various points. However, just as it looked like all hope was lost for Miz as Dexter Lumis was about to remove the money from its hook, Bronson Reed made a shocking appearance and knocked Lumis off the ladder. Bronson Reed launched a brutal attack on Lumis, even hitting him with his signature splash.

Bronson Reed’s attack allowed Miz to climb a ladder and secure both the money and a victory for the record books.

Elsewhere on WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley took on Akira Tozawa in a rare intergender match. Full results from the December 19th episode of WWE Raw can be found here.

In recent news, Bronson Reed is set to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.
