Bronson Reed To Challenge Gunther For WWE Intercontinental Championship

Bronson Reed To Challenge Gunther For WWE Intercontinental Championship

Gunther‘s next opponent for the WWE Intercontinental Championship has been determined and it will be none other than Bronson Reed.

During the October 9th episode of WWE Raw, Bronson Reed emerged victorious in a hard-fought triple-threat match against Chad Gable and Ricochet, earning a shot at the coveted Intercontinental Championship.

The match showcased Reed’s athleticism and power as he executed his signature tsunami splash from the top rope, flattening Ricochet for the pin. However, before the bout even began, Ricochet found himself the victim of a surprise attack on the stage by Shinsuke Nakamura.

The stage is now set for Reed to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship on the upcoming October 16th episode of Raw in what will be a hard-hitting battle between two of the biggest members of the roster.

Has Bronson Reed Won Any WWE Titles?

Bronson Reed has not won any titles on the WWE main roster. However, Reed has won the NXT North American Championship once, when he defeated then-champion Johnny Gargano in a steel cage match on May 18th, 2021. Reed’s title reign was short-lived as he lost the belt just 41 days later to Isaiah Scott, now known as Swerve Strickland in AEW. Reed was later released by the WWE and went on to perform for NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling.

Reed then returned to WWE in late 2022 and has since participated in other title matches such as an Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship and challenging for the United States title once again in a Triple Threat match at Backlash. Austin Theory won said match besting Reed and Bobby Lashley.
