The Street Profits Return To WWE NXT

The Street Profits Return To WWE NXT

The Street Profits made a surprise appearance on WWE NXT.

Known for their high-energy performances and undeniable charisma, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, former NXT Tag Team Champions, returned to their roots on August 29th.

Having enjoyed tremendous success on Raw and SmackDown, capturing tag team gold on both brands, they made their mark on the main roster after their NXT stint. However, their recent appearance in NXT proves that they are not too big for their alma mater.

During their backstage interaction, the Profits crossed paths with Carmelo Hayes, the reigning WWE NXT Champion. Acknowledging Hayes’ impressive title reign, the Profits expressed their desire to keep an eye on the rising star. They also turned their attention to the current WWE NXT Tag Team Champions, Tony D’Angelo and Channing Stacks Lorenzo, collectively known as The D’Angelo Family.

Although their encounter with Hayes and the champions was casual and nonchalant, the Street Profits dropped a tantalising hint. They mentioned that if they were to return to NXT, they would be keen to see how the champions are faring. This cryptic statement has sparked speculation among fans, leaving them eagerly anticipating the possibility of the Street Profits’ future involvement in NXT.

What Are The Street Profits Doing In WWE Now?

Currently, the Street Profits are engrossed in a burgeoning partnership with Bobby Lashley under the SmackDown brand. The Street Profits have also been vying to regain tag team gold, as they have been without a championship in the WWE since they lost the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in 2021.

Recently TJ Wilson praised Angelo Dawkins as a locker room leader.
