Roman Reigns vs. Edge WrestleMania Clash Reportedly Set To Change

WrestleMania Fastlane

Following the events of Fastlane, it has been reported that the WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania between Roman Reigns and Edge will become a Triple Threat Match, with the addition of Daniel Bryan.

Edge, who won the 2021 Royal Rumble to advance to the grandest stage of them all, chose to face current Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the event. Although yet to be officially confirmed by WWE, Fightful revealed that Daniel Bryan will also challenge for the Championship, following a vicious attack from Edge on both Reigns and Bryan.

Following the attack, WWE’s official Twitter account posted a simple message in reference to the match:

@EdgeRatedR has SNAPPED, plain and simple. #WWEFastlane#UniversalTitle

Daniel Bryan faced Roman Reigns in a losing effort at Elimination Chamber, following a gruelling victory inside the structure for an immediate Championship match. Bryan would defeat Jey Uso inside a steel cage on the March 5th edition of Smackdown to earn another chance at ‘The Head of the Table’.

The recent re-match at Fastlane saw the pair collide once again, this time with Edge acting as a ringside enforcer. Although Bryan had Roman in the Yes Lock for the submission, the ‘Rated R Superstar’ would attack both Reigns and Bryan with a steel chair, following an inadvertent chair shot delivered to Edge by Bryan earlier in the match,. Roman Reigns would recover first, covering Daniel Bryan for the win.

WrestleMania 37 will take place over two nights in Tampa, Florida. The event will also mark the first time a WWE show has taken place in front of a live audience since March 2020. The Universal Championship match is one of four bouts currently confirmed for the pay-per-view.
