Rhea Ripley Debuts On Raw, Challenges Asuka To WrestleMania Match

Asuka vs Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has finally made her long awaited debut on Monday Night RAW. Not only that, she is now set to face Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

After an impassioned speech on Raw Talk, imploring WWE to let her face Asuka, Peyton Royce finally got her wish on the March 22nd episode of RAW.

Following a hard-fought contest Asuka eventually forced Royce to submit after cranking in the Asuka Lock. However, the “Empress Of Tomorrow” didn’t have much time to enjoy her victory as Rhea Ripley soon made her way to the ring, making her debut on the red brand.

Ripley wasted little time in getting down to business and challenged Asuka to a match at WrestleMania straight off the bat. A fired up women’s champion promptly accepted on the spot, before the match was confirmed by the commentary team.

During her short promo Ripley also brought up Charlotte Flair’s recent COVID diagnosis. Earlier on in the evening Flair had confirmed her diagnosis on Twitter, commenting that she was at home resting, before thanking fans for their well wishes.

Asuka who was of course one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with Charlotte Flair, has recently been locked in a brief feud with Shayna Baszler, after Baszler knocked out one of her teeth. The Empress would soon get revenge however, savagely taking down Baszler on the the March 15th edition of red brand.
