Shelton Benjamin Praises WWE’s “Workhorse” Chad Gable

Shelton Benjamin Chad Gable

Shelton Benjamin has the utmost respect for Chad Gable.

Despite now being a part of WWE for close to a decade, Gable has still been awaiting his breakout moment in the company, with many feeling he is one of the most underrated members of the main roster.

Also a former Olympian and having a mix of comedy and serious technical wrestling, many have compared the Alpha Academy coach to one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Kurt Angle.

Someone who has also noticed the comparisons between Gable and the Hall of Famer is Shelton Benjamin, who would debut on the main roster in the Team Angle faction.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Benjamin praised Gable for his feats of strength and adaptability, being able to have a great match with any opponent:

“Gable, holy cow. That guy is a workhorse. He is such a badass. I don’t think he realizes how much respect I have for him. That guy’s badass. So and to see him, say he’s turned on his comical chops. Like, it’s like, he’s constantly surprising me and he’s a guy. I’m like, this would be a breakout star. We’re constantly trying to develop new talent, but I’m like man, this guy’s got it all. He’s like he’s my favorite worker.

Like because you can put him in the ring with anyone, he can make him look good. He can toss anybody around you know? Like, when he tossed Braun Strowman it’s like you’re not supposed to be able to do that. But man, I’m so impressed by his work. So impressed.”

Following multiple matches looking to prove himself as a singles performer, Gable faces his biggest test on the August 21 episode of Raw as he faces Intercontinental Champion Gunther with the title on the line.

Shelton Benjamin Was Part Of One The Most Famous Developmental Classes In Wrestling
