WWE Star Taken Off The Road To Heal Up

WWE Star Off The Road

A WWE Superstar was notably absent from a recent Raw taping.

As seen on the December 18th taping, Kofi Kingston was dressed up as Santa Claus and handed out gifts to fellow wrestlers and fans before being attacked by Imperium. While Kingston was saved by Jey Uso, fans may have been expecting a different member of the roster to make the save.

Fellow New Day member Xavier Woods was not seen at the December 18th edition of Raw and the reason why has been revealed. As reported by PWInsider, Woods is “banged up” and has been taken off the road to heal. PWInsider were unable to confirm the nature of the injury, but was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama a few weeks ago. Dr. James Andrews’ clinic in Birmingham, Alabama is the site where a lot of Superstars go for treatment when injured as it specialises in sports injuries.

PWInsider’s report concludes by stating that Woods has now been removed from Raw branded house shows scheduled to take place after Christmas.

The former Tag Team Champion last competed on the November 27th edition of Raw, taking part in a tag team turmoil match to determine new number one contenders. In a recent interview, Xavier Woods made a rather alarming prediction.

Multiple WWE Stars Dealing With Injuries

Unfortunately, Woods is not the only Superstar who will be taking time away from the ring. Charlotte Flair was recently announced to be out for 9 months following a knee injury that was much worse than expected. Additionally, Braun Strowman remains out of action as he is recovering from neck surgery. While Strowman has discussed a potential return at the Royal Rumble, the former World Champion is being understandably cautious due to the nature of his injury.
