CM Punk Has “Verbally Expressed” Displeasure With AEW & Adam Page

CM Punk reportedly went into business for himself on the latest AEW Dynamite – but he may have not even showed up at all.

The AEW World Champion was a major talking point coming out of Dynamite for the comments he made regarding Adam Page. Adapting Page’s ‘cowboy sh*t’ mantra to ‘coward sh*t’, Punk called out Page in the opening segment, with the ex-champion being nowhere to be seen.

While it was reported that these comments were “100% a shoot“, Fightful Select has provided further insight. CM Punk’s comments to Page were branded as a “receipt” for Page’s prior promo surrounding Punk and Colt Cabana and “unfair”, seeing as he was unable to do anything on a live broadcast.

It’s believed that the duo legitimately don’t like each other, to the extent that Punk allegedly went to AEW officials with concerns over Adam Page’s promo. This was followed by ‘The Best in the World’ reportedly telling “others” that he wouldn’t lose to Page at Double or Nothing.

Crucially, the situation is at a point where sources are claiming that CM Punk has reportedly “often verbally expressed his displeasure” with AEW. A backstage veteran is also noted to have heard “threats being levied” of Punk potentially leaving the company.

Last night’s Dynamite saw Punk engage in a physical confrontation with Jon Moxley, who has served as the interim AEW World Champion. A title unification bout, originally believed to be occurring at All Out, has since been pulled forward to next week’s Dynamite.
