Ric Flair Reveals If He Intends To Wrestle Again

Ric Flair has clarified comments he made in a previous interview.

The Nature Boy competed on July 31st 2022 in what was billed as his last-ever match. With wrestling retirements having a reputation of being short-lived, some wondered if Flair may dust off the robe and strut his way to the ring once again.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Flair was asked if that really was his last match, to which Flair responded as follows:

“I want to wrestle right now. Isn’t that crazy?”

With Flair himself not entirely happy with how the match went, fans began to speculate if the WWE Hall of Famer would follow a similar path to The Undertaker and have another attempt at the ultimate sendoff. In a new interview, Flair has answered the rumours.

Recently Ric Flair revealed that he is cleared to wrestle again.

Will Ric Flair Wrestle Again?

In a new interview with PWInsider, Flair elaborated on his initial quote. The 16-time World Champion revealed that he does not want to wrestle again but being in good health he would hypothetically have the conditioning to take part in a match:

No. That was completely taken out of context. No, I have no desire to wrestle again. I said I could, because I feel great. And if I did, I could be better because I would learn from the mistakes I made getting ready last time, which was not hydrating. I weighed 218 and I didn’t drink any water that day, a combination of nerves and everything else. We really had worked out what you would have thought, Mike, as a decent match, not great by any means.

But when I mentioned that I didn’t feel good, everybody thought I was having a heart attack and that was a blatant error on my part but no, I feel great. I’m so damn…I’m probably the only guy in the business that doesn’t have a knee replacement or hip replacement or anything. I feel great.”

With his daughter closing in on the all-time record for World Championship reigns Ric Flair believes that Charlotte Flair breaking the record has got to happen.

In a surprise to many wrestling fans, Ric Flair made his AEW debut on a recent episode of Dynamite.
