Ric Flair is All Elite, and he has his sights set on a match with AEW World Champion MJF.
The October 25th episode of AEW Dynamite saw Ric Flair make a surprise appearance as a special gift to Sting from Tony Khan. On November 2nd, it was announced that Flair had signed a multi-year deal with the company and also that his Wooooo! Energy drink would be the exclusive energy drink of AEW.
Speaking about his AEW debut in an interview with Variety, Flair had this to say:
“I can’t put it into words. It was huge. I was nervous until I walked through the curtain, and then I went out like, ‘Here I go. It’s where I belong.’”
Flair also had high praise for new boss Tony Khan, saying:
“[Tony] doesn’t get tired and he never loses composure. He’s just as nice as can be and, boy, he’s got the respect of that locker room, I can tell you that. And not from being pushy, just from being totally calm.”
Ric Flair Wants To Go One On One With MJF
Despite promoting Ric Flair’s Last Match as his final in-ring bout, Flair has made it clear that he’s itching to get back inside the squared circle. Continuing in his interview with Variety, Flair called out AEW World Champion MJF, saying:
“I can still talk better than anybody. They’ll find out if they turn me loose. I’m dying to go one on one with MJF, man. It would get a rating too. ‘Let’s talk, young man.’”
