AEW Not Expecting Jamie Hayter Back Until 2024

Jamie Hayter entrance at AEW Revolution.

Jamie Hayter could miss the rest of 2023 due to injury.

The British star hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Toni Storm at Double or Nothing in May. With the defeat, she lost the AEW Women’s Championship to the former WWE star.

Ahead of the match, Jamie Hayter had been pulled from a match on AEW Dynamite, and this was followed by reports that the star was “banged up.” While the exact nature and severity of the injury haven’t been revealed, it seems that things aren’t looking good for the star.

Following reports from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Hayter would miss All In on August 27th, a further even more downbeat report came from Fightful Select.

There had reportedly been “tentative” plans in plans for Hayter to feature at the event, but these have fallen by the wayside, as her injury is worse than first feared. Not only that, a return in 2023 is said to be “unexpected,” and there’s now time table for a comeback.

When Did Jamie Hayter Join AEW?

Despite being just 28, Jamie Hayter has cemented her status as one of the premiere women’s wrestlers on the planet. The star has wracked up championship gold in the likes of STARDOM and Rev Pro before debuting with AEW in 2019.

However, the star found her progress slowed by the COVID-19 pandemic and wouldn’t really make a splash with the company until 2021.
