SmackDown Women’s Champion has taken aim at WWE’s “glitter twins” after the star suffered an uncharacteristic loss on SmackDown in a tag team match alongside long-time friend Shayna Baszler.
On SmackDown in Pittsburgh, Rousey teamed with Baszler to face the team of Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox. This was Nox’s first match back in WWE since her surprise return and the match also allowed Rousey to resume hostilities with Liv Morgan, the woman she defeated for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
The win was not without controversy however as Raquel Rodriguez interjected herself in proceedings with Morgan and Nox picking up the victory.
Ronda Rousey calls out cheating “glitter twins”
Taking to social media, Ronda Rousey hit out at Morgan, Nox, and Rodriguez and issued a stark warning for the trio:
“Funny how the glitter twins can cheat and still be loved for it 🙄 You want us to take this serious, @raquelwwe @yaonlylivvonce @nixonnewell ? Fine. You got it. Your funerals.”
Also on a tag team-heavy edition of SmackDown, the Viking Raiders team of Erik and Ivar defeated Legado del Fantasma. After the match, Hit Row made their presence felt, attacking both teams.
Ricochet teamed up with the New Day duo of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to defeat Imperium ahead of Ricochet’s shot at GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship. It was another good night for The Bloodline as The Usos retained their WWE Tag Team Championship against The Brawling Brutes duo of Sheamus and Butch.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was also in attendance at the show in his hometown as he celebrated his birthday. Angle was confronted in the ring by Otis and Chad Gable of Alpha Academy, forcing the Olympic gold medallist to leave the ring. However, he found back up in the form of Gable Steveson and the two men introduced the Academy to a milk bath.
