Tyson Fury Drops Major Hint About WWE Clash At The Castle 2

Tyson Fury Drew McIntyre

Tyson Fury had a big impact at Clash at the Castle in September 2022 and now the boxing superstar has said he thinks WWE is looking to repeat the event.

Clash at the Castle was WWE’s first stadium show held in the UK for over thirty years and saw over 60,000 people pack the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales for a night of action.

Sheamus and Gunther undoubtedly stole the show as they clashed in a bruising brawl for the Intercontinental Championship and despite losing the bout, The Celtic Warrior was given a rousing ovation from the adoring crowd.

In the night’s main event, Roman Reigns put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre in front of the partisan UK crowd. McIntyre was roared on by Cardiff but proceedings were almost interrupted by Austin Theory who then held the Money In The Bank briefcase. Luckily, Tyson Fury was at ringside and knocked out Theory with a wicked right hand to let the main event get to its conclusion.

Unfortunately for McIntyre and the UK crowd that conclusion saw Solo Sikoa make his debut as part of The Bloodline as he helped his Tribal Chief retain his championship. The night ended with Fury attempting to cheer up McIntyre in the ring as the two men sang to the crowd to end the show in a somewhat unexpected fashion.

Tyson Fury Wants WWE Gold

Speaking in an interview with GiveMeSport, Tyson Fury noted that he was keen to get back in a wrestling ring and hinted at unfinished business with Drew McIntyre:

“I’m hoping to get back in there soon. They’re doing Clash at the Castle 2 soon I think so I’m looking at maybe getting back in there. I’m looking at taking that heavyweight title for sure. If Roman Reigns vacates or something then maybe me and Drew can finally get that battle on.”

Tyson Fury made his debut in a WWE ring at Crown Jewel in 2019 when he battled Braun Strowman. The two giants brawled and Fury picked up a somewhat unsatisfying win by count-out. His WWE endeavours were then put on the back burner due to the impending pandemic.

WWE will return to the UK with a major show in 2023 as Money In The Bank will take place in the O2 Arena in London, England on the 1st of July.
