Hikaru Shida will be back in action on August 9th.

Hikaru Shida won the AEW Women’s Title for a second time on August 2nd with a win over Toni Storm in the main event of Dynamite 200. Storm had held the gold since pinning Jamie Hayter back at Double or Nothing.

Shida has a significant history with the championship, with her first reign still being the longest in the title’s history, lasting 372.

Hot off the heels of getting the better of Storm, Shida will take on Anna Jay on Dynamite. The pair have wrestled in AEW before, and they’ve even clashed for the title previously, tangling on the November 19th, 2020 episode of Dynamite.

It’s also been announced that the Young Bucks will be stepping back into the ring against The Hardys. The match represents Jeff Hardy’s biggest match since returning to the company in April. Meanwhile, the match comes just days after FTR challenged The Bucks to a match at All In on August 27th.

Rob Van Dam is due to make his in-ring debut for AEW on the show when he takes on Jack Perry for the FTW Championship. The WWE Hall of Famer made his debut a week ago, confronting Perry on behalf of Jerry Lynn.

There will also be a meeting involving all members of the Jericho Appreciation Society at the behest of Matt Menard, and Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli are set to clash with the Lucha Bros.
