Rhea Ripley will be defending the Women’s World Title at Superstar Spectacle.
It’s been announced that Rhea Ripley will put her Women’s World Title against Natalya when WWE returns to India. The news was confirmed by WWE India on social media, although Natalya had given the game away in an earlier interview.
WWE will return to India on September 8th for the first time since December 2017. The event is part of a larger deal between the sports entertainment giant and Sony Pictures Networks India.
The event will also see John Cena return to the ring to team with Seth Rollins to take on Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. In the other advertised match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will meet Indus Sher with Jinder Mahal at ringside.
Has Rhea Ripley Defended The Women’s World Title Against Natalya Before?
Shortly after moving to Monday Night Raw as part of the WWE Draft, Natalya began a rivalry with the Women’s World Champion. The pair met at Night of Champions where Ripley retained her title in a little over a minute.
Despite the crushing defeat, the rivalry continued and the two women met one more time in an incredibly physical match on the July 3rd episode of Raw. The Judgment Day’s enforcer hasn’t defended her title since.
Although they haven’t clashed on television, Ripley and Natalya have continued to wrestle each other at live events, most recently on August 27th.
Rhea Ripley was most recently in action at Payback where she defended her championship against Raquel Rodriguez. Rhea Ripley will next defend the championship at Crown Jewel.
