Roman Reigns could be just days away from winning more championship gold, but his run-up to Night of Champions has been far from plain sailing.
On SmackDown, Reigns, Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa came to the ring to open the show before being quickly interrupted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. As Owens seethed ready to go to war, Zayn addressed their meeting with Reigns and Sikoa at Night of Champions.
Zayn said that Reigns wouldn’t be taking the titles, while the Tribal Chief responded by saying that the only regret of his WWE career was wasting his time on the tag team champion.
As the tension continued to increase, The Usos rushed the ring and attacked Owens and Zayn, much to the annoyance of Reigns who left after awkwardly bumping into Sikoa.
Once backstage, Reigns took aim at The Usos for going into business for themselves and not allowing him to speak. After dismissing them from his office an intense pondered his next move.
Later in the show, Heyman said that while The Usos were forgiven, they would be on their own in the main event with the LWO. Unfortunately for the former tag team champions, this would be another match that they would lose via interference from Zayn and Owens.
Roman Reigns Set For Huge Match At Money In The Bank
While Roman Reigns might have his hands full with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Night of Champions, it appears that his problems with The Usos could come to a head at Money in the Bank.
It has been reported that one of the matches proposed for Reigns at the event in London would see him again team with Solo Sikoa but to take on The Usos. This would then leave the path clear for the Tribal Chief to have a huge singles match at SummerSlam.
