Rey Fenix to Miss AEW All In

Rey Fenix

In a massive blow to the AEW All In card, Rey Fenix will not be traveling to the UK for the event.

As reported by Fightful Select, though he was advertised for last week, Rey Fenix has been pulled from the card.

Fenix featured in a pull-apart brawl last week on AEW Dynamite, to set up a Stadium Stampede match at the event, but now it appears that significant changes will need to occur.

The word is that Rey Fenix has faced travel or visa issues which have prohibited him from appearing on the card.

This explanation would perhaps make the most sense, with Tony Khan saying earlier today that “real life situations” will force changes for Sunday’s show, but AEW have not yet confirmed the reasoning at time of writing.

Rey Fenix was scheduled to take part in the 6-on-6 Stadium Stampede match at Wembley. On his team were to be his brother Penta El Zero M, along with Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent?).

Their opponents were Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and three names that had yet to be announced.

There is no word on whether Rey Fenix will be replaced in the match, or if the match will simply become a ten-person affair as opposed to the previously scheduled twelve-man.

Allegedly, a storyline explanation will clear things up on AEW programming this week.

Is Rey Fenix Hurt?

The prevailing belief at the moment is that Rey Fenix’s exclusion from All In is not injury related. However, nothing has been officially confirmed at this time.

Fenix’s most recent AEW outing was a critically-acclaimed match against Komader on last week’s Rampage. Nothing in this match indicated that Fenix was hurt in any way, so the travel/visa situation seems to be the most likely.
