Eddie Kingston Pulled From Independent Show

Eddie Kingston’s schedule has undergone some changes.

The AEW star has been removed from an advertised appearance for Absolute Intense Wrestling on September 16th. The promotion announced the move was a result of “circumstances beyond their control,” although there has been no word on what these circumstances are.

“Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control Eddie Kingston will no longer be appearing tomorrow night, Lance Archer will now take his place and will be in non-tournament action. 9/16 AIW – JT Lightning Invitational Tournament Night 2.”

Although Kingston won’t be in action he’s been replaced by Lance Archer.

Eddie Kingston Heading For Showdown With Claudio Castagnoli

The Mad King has been at war with Claudio Castagnoli for over a decade with the rivalry spanning a number of promotions. However, the pair will have a chance to try and settle their issues once and for all very soon.

It’s been announced that Eddie Kingston and Castagnoli will meet one-on-one at AEW Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. The match will see Kingston put his STRONG Openweight Title on the line, while Castagnoli’s Ring of Honor World Title will also be up for grabs.
