Since his debut 15 years ago, WWE star Kofi Kingston has become a firm fan favourite of the WWE Universe by virtue of his numerous title wins as a solo performer and as a member of the New Day.

His innovative elimination-defying spots has also secured his place in the pantheon of all-time great Royal Rumble participants.

Kofi Kingston Grateful For 15 Years Of WWE Memories

On January 22nd, the former WWE World Champion took to social media to reflect on being in WWE for a decade and a half. Writing on Instagram, he recalled various memories and thanked all those who have supported him during his journey.

“Time is f*d up, man… 15 years…how?! Seems like it was just yesterday that I was smiling my way through the nervousness on this entrance in Charlottesville, Virginia. I had no idea where the road would lead, but boy, have we come a long way…

15 straight years of bumps, matches, tours, stories, laughs, friendships, brotherhoods and sisterhoods…(well I’m not a sister, but you get it; family sh*t, bruh!).

So many memories. And I am grateful for them all.

Thanks to my wife for her love and support throughout this adventure. I’d not get to do this if it were not for her. I love you @earthmamarising!

And finally, thank you all for riding with me on this incredible journey. And we ain’t done yet…”

Kofi is currently part of the NXT brand, and alongside fellow WWE NXT Tag Team Champion and New Day member Xavier Woods, is helping to develop younger NXT stars such as Pretty Deadly’s Kit Wilson & Elton Prince.

As a singles wrestler, Kingston’s career reached its zenith at WrestleMania 35 where he defeated Daniel Bryan to become WWE’s first African-born WWE World Champion. His reign was ended by Brock Lesnar on October 4 2019 after an 8-second match.

As a tag team performer he has held gold on 15 different occasions, the majority of them being with Big E and Xavier Woods.
