Don Callis Not Expected To Miss AEW Blood & Guts After Fan Attack

Don Callis, is not expected to be absent from AEW Blood & Guts, following a vicious attack by a disgruntled fan.

AEW talent Callis, was attacked by the fan during a post-show press conference following the AAA Triplemania XXXI event in Tijuana, Mexico.

The assault left Callis with injuries to his neck and ankle, raising concerns about his participation in the highly anticipated AEW Blood & Guts event on July 19th. However, recent reports suggest that Callis is determined to overcome this setback and is expected to be present for the upcoming event.

During the press conference, tensions escalated when Callis engaged in a heated exchange with Kenny Omega. A fan, evidently upset by Callis’ behaviour, took advantage of the situation and attacked him from behind.

Following the assault, Callis was promptly taken to San Diego for medical evaluation and treatment. Although the severity of his injuries has not been disclosed, sources indicate that he remains optimistic and determined to fulfill his obligations at Blood & Guts.

Speaking on the matter on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer had this to say:

He’s okay. He got hurt but he’s okay, I don’t think he has any major injuries, nothing that’s going to keep him from being at Blood and Guts in Boston on Wednesday. Based on what I last heard today was that he’s hurt but okay.
