“That’s Not The End” – Chad Gable Reflects On Loss To Gunther

Chad Gable, determined to overcome his recent defeat, is vowing to persevere and win the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Gunther.

On the August 21st episode of Raw, Gable faced off against the reigning champion, Gunther, and won the match via count-out. This victory set the stage for a main event showdown between the two on the September 4th episode of Raw. Despite Gable’s best efforts, Gunther emerged victorious, leaving Gable devastated.

In a Raw Exclusive interview following his loss, Gable expressed his unwavering determination to bounce back and claim the Intercontinental Championship. He drew on his experience in amateur wrestling, emphasising the importance of seizing opportunities, even in the face of defeat.

Then when something like tonight happens and it just slips through your fingers, it’s happened before in amateur wrestling, but I learned to persevere, like find my way through it and realize that that’s not the end.

Gable acknowledged the emotional impact the loss had on his children, particularly when Gunther taunted them during the match. This personal connection to the championship fuels Gable’s drive to reclaim the title.

But there’s also times where, when it’s my kids sitting in the front freaking row, and we got Gunther out there, talking to them, saying, ‘Is this your daddy,’ and chopping me in front of them, my daughter’s crying her freaking eyes out, it kind of stops being fun at a certain point. So that bothers me at a certain level.

Will Chad Gable Wrestle Gunther Again?

Chad Gable assured fans and critics alike that this setback would not mark the end of his pursuit against Gunther. He made it clear that he has a legacy to protect and is willing to do whatever it takes to secure a rematch against The Ring General.

So you have my word, I swear to you, I swear to everybody, on myself and my career, that’s not the end. I’m taking the Intercontinental Championship. I want him to keep it as long as it freaking takes for me to get a rematch. Because I’m coming back for it, and I swear to god, I’m winning that championship.

The WWE Universe eagerly awaits Chad Gable’s next move as he seeks to make his mark in the annals of WWE history.
