Controversial Former WWE Star Threatened To Sue The Company Over Unauthorized Magazine Cover

Former WWE writer Vince Russo

Vince Russo dealt with his fair share of “attitude” while being a head writer for WWE during the company’s hottest era and it wasn’t necessarily from the main eventers.

While on the The Wrestling Outlaws show on Sportskeeda, Russo recounted one time when Sunny, aka Tammy Lynn Sytch became super upset when he initially selected a swimsuit photo of her for the WWE Magazine cover, something she claimed that wasn’t actually her. Russo had to get Sytch’s approval before using the photo. He thought he selected a beautiful shot of the star, but Sunny’s disposition was quite the opposite from her alias.

“I’ll never forget, man, she comes in and she sees that cover shot and starts screaming, ‘I’m gonna sue! I’m gonna sue!’ These were her exact words, and I popped, I laughed. ‘That’s not me! That’s not me!’ And I just said, ‘Sunny, who is it? No, that is you. That’s you in the picture!'”

Where Vince Russo Thought The Former WWE Star’s Demise Began

Sytch has been notorious to ruffle feathers wherever she went in the pro wrestling business and Russo believes she started developing a destructive ego when she caught fame in WWE.

“It happens to all of them. Very few remain the same. It’s ego, bro. She got bit by the bug like a lot of other people before her and it went to her head. Honestly, bro, that was her demise.”

Sytch’s current state is certainly tragic. She’s had a massive fall from grace and is currently incarcerated after being the culprit in a fatal car crash down in Florida which caused the death of 75-year-old man. Sytch had a blood-alcohol level of 0.280 which is three times over the legal limit and reportedly had THC in her system. She has plead not guilty to charges of one count of DUI causing death (DUI Manslaughter, a felony in the third degree) and eight other counts involving the accident. Her next court date is set for August 16.
