CM Punk Has Time On His Hands “For The Next Two Months”

CM Punk Has

Did CM Punk just hint he’s heading back to WWE?

CM Punk might be one of the most divisive and controversial wrestlers in the industry today, but that unpredictability makes him box-office. Following a controversy-laden spell with AEW, Punk is now a free agent after being fired following an incident involving Jack Perry and Tony Khan backstage at All In.

With Punk now on the outside looking in once again, fans have been quick to speculate over what might come next. For many that is a move back to WWE, and a bid to right some of the wrongs around his exit in 2014.

Interestingly, Punk has now hinted that he’s very much aware of that speculation. Appearing on the commentary team for CFFC 125, Punk said that he’d got time on his hands for the next two months.

That comment hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans, given that Survivor Series is scheduled to take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago on November 25th — A little over two months from now.

Whether Punk is being serious, or simply having some fun with the speculation remains to be seen.

Earlier in the broadcast, Punk and his commentary partner John Morgan poked fun at the former’s AEW All In backstage incident and subsequent termination from the promotion.

Jim Ross Thinks CM Punk Will Wrestle Again

Although a return to AEW following his firing now seems unthinkable, that doesn’t mean Punk won’t be back in the ring at all. The star has routinely been linked with a move to WWE ever since he left AEW, and Jim Ross believes CM Punk is simply too good to never wrestle again.

JR added that WWE seems like the natural next stop for Punk should he resume his career.
