Tony Khan Clarifies Comments Regarding AEW All In Attendance

In a recent social media exchange, Tony Khan responded to a post made by Dave Meltzer regarding the AEW All In attendance figures.

The conversation began when a fan questioned why merchandise was sold with incorrect attendance numbers. On X Dave Meltzer pointed out that AEW chose to announce paid attendance rather than total, which is uncommon in the pro wrestling industry.

For whatever reason, AEW made the decision to announce paid attendance rather than total, which is unusual for pro wrestling historically.

Tony Khan, in his response, explained that he announced the actual paid attendance of 81,035 tickets sold at All In at Wembley Stadium in London because it set an all-time ticket sales record. He clarified that while other events may hold the record for tickets distributed, AEW’s record was based on actual sales.

Will Tony Khan Bring AEW Back To The UK?

Tony Khan has previously said that AEW will be heading back to Wembley Stadium in London on August 25th, 2024. Khan has also hinted at the possibility of AEW’s weekly television shows, Dynamite, Rampage and Collision being held in the UK.

Speaking in an interview with Insider on September 19th, Khan was asked about whether the weekly shows could be held in the UK, to which Khan responded:

We’ll think about that, but I want to keep the biggest focus on “All In.” We will return there August 25, 2024, to Wembley Stadium.

He went on to say that having All In at Wembley was such a momentous occasion for the company and that it is a moment he will never forget.
