CM Punk Has Quietly Apologised To Adam Page

It has been confirmed that CM Punk has apologised to Adam Page over the promo he cut after AEW Collision.

In the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast, Bryan Alvarez confirmed that Punk has sent a text message to apologize to Hangman Page for the controversial promo he made after the August 12th episode of Collision. This comes after CM Punk publicly criticised Adam Page after Collision went off the air, calling him a “peg-hanger” and mocking him for having unsold merchandise. Alvarez said:

I think that there are a few things that we can confirm, it has been confirmed from both sides. One of them is the claim from the CM Punk side that he apologised to “Hangman” Adam Page and there were other things that were claimed as well. But what I can confirm is that he did send a text to “Hangman” Adam Page apologising for the promo on Saturday. That’s what I heard from both sides, it did happen, he apologised to him via text message.

Following the backlash from the wrestling community, Punk took the initiative to reach out to Page and offer an apology. While Punk claimed his comments were intended to be comedic, they clearly backfired and caused division within the AEW locker room. On the podcast, Dave Meltzer had this to say:

It was an attempt to do a comedy line that backfired and he realised it the minute he did it that it had backfired.

As of now, it remains to be seen how Page will respond to Punk’s apology and whether this will bring an end to their ongoing conflict. Fans and wrestling enthusiasts will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on this situation as it unfolds.

In recent news Dave Meltzer has labelled CM Punk as “the catalyst” of multiple issues within AEW.

Why Don’t CM Punk And Adam Page Like Each Other?

The conflict between Punk and Page dates back to 2022 when they faced off at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. Prior to the match, Punk made it known that he was unhappy with a promo Page cut during the build. During the match, Page accidentally hit Punk in the face, sparking further tension between the two wrestlers.
