Thunder Rosa Ready For AEW Return “At Any Time”

AEW Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa‘s return to the squared circle could be imminent.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion had to relinquish her title during August 2022 following ongoing back issues and hasn’t been an active wrestler since doing. However, a new report from Fightful Select states that Thunder Rosa could return at “any time” dependent on creative plans.

Despite dealing with injury, Rosa has found some solace in being able to play a voice on Spanish commentary. She actually was behind the booth for the latest episode of AEW Collision and was also in attendance for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. Rosa was in attendance for Starrcast over All Out weekend and was in great spirits. In addition to her work at the commentary table, Rosa is a weekly voice typically every Friday on Busted Open Radio.

A new report has since noted that Thunder Rosa is expected to return to AEW in the very near future.

Could Thunder Rosa Create Some New Rivals In AEW?

Since Rosa last wrestled, the AEW Women’s division has changed with plenty of new competitors entering the fold. Names like Willow Nightingale, Taya Valkyrie and even Saraya have made their presence known in the ring while Rosa has been sidelined.

La Mera Mera has arguably been one of the women’s division’s keystone stars as she has gotten to be in some historic matches since entering the AEW fold. Over the course of the last few months, there have been positive signs courtesy of Dr. Michael Sampson that Rosa could be nearing a return to the ring dependent on how her recovery process was developing.
